Six people are in the grips of Police in the Ashanti Region for falsifying documents to be enlisted into the police service in the ongoing recruitment exercise.
[contextly_sidebar id=”szTCc6BM4RdMJH5W4pajlD5AlHSriIzT”]They are Attah Aggrey Marfo (22), Bosompem Appiah, (23), Baffour Kyei Emmanuel, (21), Boateng Frimpong Randorf, (24), Kofi Nti, (24) and Kuma Richard, (25).
The suspects were among the over 6,000 applicants who were going through various stages of recruitment in to the service at the Ashanti Regional Police Training School.
The Ashanti Regional Selection Officer, ACP Dr. Saidu Garribah, who confirmed the incident to Citi News said the suspects have been handed over to the Police CID for further investigations.
“We have been able to arrest six applicants who are alleged, or from the initial examination to have been seen to have falsified documents and therefore we have detained them and we will hand them over to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for further investigations.”
ACP Garribah also assured that the police were actively on the lookout for individuals trying to outwit the system.
“We are also looking at people who come here with criminal intentions. For example, if you come here with forged or falsified documents then definitely we will arrest you and process you for investigation.”
