Over 100 senior citizens in Ketu North of the Volta Region have benefited from a free health screening and other associated health activities to mark the Republic Day celebrations in the district.
The screening which was organized by the District Assembly in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service and Firm Health Ghana Foundation saw the medical team check the blood pressure, weight and height and body mass index of the senior citizens.
They were also educated on regenerative health, to help improve their health status.
Prior to the screening, the aged in the company of the District Chief Executive, Kofi Lawson had a health walk through the principal streets of the district capital, Dzodze.
On his part, Kofi Lawson, underscored the need to undertake the exercise regularly especially among the aged.
He advised the aged to have sufficient rest and make healthy choices.
