Interim head coach Michael Osei has said that his side’s 1-1 draw with Hearts of Oak in their ‘Super 2’ clash at the Baba Yara Stadium was fair in his opinion.
The Reds were seeking a second league win over their rivals this season after winning in Accra in May and they took the lead in the 17th minute through Kwame Boateng who rebounded in a shot at Soulama Abdoulaye’s near post.
But Hearts came back in the second half and got their goal through Patrick Razak in the 53rd minute.
Despite his team’s failure to win on the day, Osei felt the result was the best reflection of the encounter.
“I will say that the result was ok. Both teams played well and they were tactically disciplined. It was an interesting tie and I feel that the draw was good for the teams.”
He will be hoping that Kotoko will return to winning ways when they travel to Obuasi to play struggling New Edubiase at the Len Clay stadium on match-day 22
