The Men’s Ministry wing of the City Temple International Church in Accra, has organised a free health screening exercise for residents at the Center for National Culture in Accra (Art Center), and its environs as part of the men’s ministry celebration.
The exercise which took place at art center, attracted over five hundred people.
Some of the health services included hepatitis B and C screening, blood group checks, weight and blood pressure checks, sugar level checks among others.
Speaking to Citi News, the treasurer of the Accra chapter of City Temple International, Steven Pedandam said the exercise formed part of the church’s quest to ensure a healthy society
He added that the church has taken upon itself educate the public on issues related to good health and some health challenges.
“We want to help the society in any way we can to ensure a healthy society. As part of our men’s ministry celebration we decided to bring some doctors from Korle bu and 37 military hospitals to do health screening.”
He gave the assurance that the church will continue to offer such services to improve the quality of life of people.
Some beneficiaries of the exercise expressed their appreciation to the church and requested them to regularly visit the area with more social support services.
