Fire has gutted the Gbewaa Boys dormitory of the Tamale Northern School of Business (NOBISCO).
The inferno, according to the assistant head teacher in charge of academics, Mohammed Alidu happened on Thursday morning, July 14.
The cause is yet to be established but he has not ruled out the use of faulty electrical appliances in defiance of the school authority’s order.
No casualty was recorded but valuables including mattresses, chop boxes, uniforms, books, and beds are burnt into ashes.
It will be recalled that NOBISCO was recently shut down following students riot which coincided with the temporary closure of northern second cycle institutions over feeding grants accumulated debt.
A fact finding committee investigated the riot and finally submitted its report to the Northern Regional education directorate.
