Largest airline in Africa, Ethiopian Airlines is now flying to Durban, South Africa, as part of efforts by the company to promote tourism in the country.
Ethiopian Airlines now flies to the Durban four times a week, operating with its technological advanced aircraft, B777 and B 787 dreamliner.
The airline company also has special packages for families and business travelers to the country.
Durban is the largest city in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal.
After Johannesburg, the Durban Metropolitan Area ranks second among the most populous urban areas in South Africa, almost equal to Cape Town.
It is also the second most important manufacturing hub in South Africa after Johannesburg.
Speaking to journalists who were on a familiarization trip to the city, Girma Shiferaw, Vice President, Corporate Alliance, Ethiopian Airlines further noted that the company was ready to partner any international and domestic airline on the continent.
“Our doors are opened for any collaboration with any carrier on the continent either East, West and North,” Mr. Shiferaw added.
The Ethiopian airlines currently flies to Duban, Johannesburg and Cape Town.
