Residents of the Northern Regional capital Tamale are grappling with acute water shortage for almost two weeks in some areas.
[contextly_sidebar id=”wdCRmIb5BZ4JWMGCsMhMYnVN1K0aA7X9″]The recurring problem is said to be affecting socio-economic activities in the area.
It will affect the upcoming Eidul fetir celebration scheduled for Wednesday July 6 if it remains unresolved.
The erratic rain pattern has worsened the situation because some community dams and hand dag wells have dried up.
Dohin-naayili, Kukuo, Koblimahigu, Aboabo, Changli, Jakarayili, Aboabo, Zogbeli and Lamashegu are some of the affected areas.
Attempts to establish contact with the Northern Regional Communications Director of the Ghana Water Company Limited, Nicolas Nii Abey on phone have been unsuccessful.
