The Progressive People’s Party (PPP), has held its National Women’s Conference in Sunyani the Brong-Ahafo Regional Capital.
The conference held under the theme, “The Strategic Role of Progressive Women in Winning the 2016 Elections” was aimed at sensitizing, energizing and motivating women in the party to work hard to secure victory.
It featured all the ten Regional Women Organizers, National Youth Coordinator, some Regional and National Chairpersons and Coordinators among others.
Speaking at the conference, the National Women’s Coordinator of the party, Madam Vivian Kakie Tetteh, admonished women in the PPP to engage in decent politics and maintain decorum in their campaigns.
According to her, this year’s election is crucial to the party, stressing that they will campaign effectively to boost the fortunes of the party.
Madam Tetteh said if PPP is voted into power, they will ensure good governance and create more employment opportunities and rid the nation of filth.
Madam Tetteh thus entreated Ghanaians to vote massively for the PPP party on November 7, 2016.
On his part, the National Youth Coordinator of the PPP, Divine Nkrumah, encouraged the parliamentary candidates to beef up campaign efforts in order to win their seats.
Mr. Nkrumah said per the policies and programmes prepared by the PPP, it will surely crown its efforts with victory come November 7.
He mentioned the just launched House to House and village to village campaign by their confirmed parliamentary candidates as one of the strategies that will bring them victory.
