A benefit concert is being organised to raise money for the victims and survivors of the Orlando nightclub shooting.
The Imagine Dragons and Nate Ruess will headline the All is One Orlando Unity Concert to benefit the OneOrlando Fund.
The concert will take place on Wednesday at Hard Rock Live Orlando.
The OneOrlando Fund was set up after the Pulse nightclub shooting earlier this month that left 49 people dead and 53 injured.
A transcript of calls between negotiators and Omar Mateen during the three-hour siege of the gay nightclub has been released by the FBI.
The 29-year-old mentioned the war in Syria and terror attacks in France during calls to 911, America’s version of 999.
Omar Mateen died in a shootout with police after authorities stormed the Pulse nightclub.
On Monday, the US Senate threw out four gun control bills.
The house voted against legislation that would have closed a gun show loophole and expanded background checks.
At the weekend there was a vigil held to remember the people killed in the shooting.
People also dressed as guardian angels to protect the funeral of one of the victims from homophobic protesters.
A small number of Westboro Baptist Church followers attended Saturday’s service for Christopher Leinonen.
The anti-gay organisation only has about 40 members but is well known for its hate speeches and funeral protests.
The handful of demonstrators was blocked from view by around 200 counter protesters.
