The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Nana Akuffo Addo has asked Ghanaians to pray for the Electoral Commission (EC) as pressure mounts on the Commission to deliver credible elections.

The EC has been directed by the Supreme Court to clean the register before the polls but Nana Addo says Ghanaians must pray for the Commission in the face of the daunting task ahead.
“I totally support the prayers that we said for peace in Ghana but I will also plead that we pray and commit the Electoral Commission into the hands of God through prayer so that they will do their job in a transparent and open manner that will not bring about any chaos so that after the election whoever wins or loses will accept it in good faith. This will ensure that we have peace in the country.”
United Ghana
Nana Addo also admonished Ghanaians to remain united ahead of the 2016 general elections.
According to him, the nation can overcome any impediment in the November election if citizens remain united.
Nana Akufo-Addo said this when he worshipped with congregants of the Church of Pentecost, Kaneshie Assembly on Sunday which also marks the Christian holy day of Pentecost.
