The Akzo Nobel (Sikkens) Senior Applications Engineer in charge of Europe, Middle East and Africa, Mr. Nicolaas Bastiaan Ouwehand, has, in collaboration with officers at Bamson Company Limited, organised a training programme for Sikkens distributors nationwide.
Counter staff at Bamson also benefited from the two-day programme, which was designed to equip the trainees with top skills in service delivery particularly in the areas of product application.
The participants were also taken through the various processes of using Sikkens P.O.S tools such as Color Universe, Color Manager and Automatic Vision.
The Sales and Marketing Manager of Bamson Limited, local representatives of AkzoNobel Car Refinishes, Mr. Emmanuel Bamfo described the training programme as essential, “Because such courses equip the frontline staff with improved knowledge in the application processes and that enables them to deliver excellent services to our cherished customers, which Bamson is best known for”.
Mr. Nicolaas Ouwehand and the Bamson sales team paid visits to some key customers including, Toyota-Ghana, Silver Star Auto (dealers in Mercedes and Suzuki) and J. K. Horgle.
The Technical Manager for Car Refinishes at Bamson, Mr. Mintah Sarpong noted that such visits and training put the company in a perfect position to serve its numerous customers better.
In another development, the International Sales Manager for Crown Paints, United Kingdom, Mr. Luke Tebbutt has paid a working visit to Bamson, which is also the local representative for Crown Paints, to acquaint himself with developments in the decorative paints industry in Ghana.
Mr. Tebbutt visited some key projects, whose contractors were using Crown products to interact with them for feedback. He also held discussions with the management of Bamson, which centred on the strategic positioning of Crown products as the preferred brand in the country.
