The Dodowa Divisional Police Command say they are hunting for the murderers of the Chief of Sota who was killed together with two others on Sunday.
Unknown gunmen on motorbike attacked the three who were in a Toyota Corolla and on their way to Ningo from Sota, in the Shai Osudoku District of Greater Accra.
[contextly_sidebar id=”9vcmNo7i8MesSWPANOLb2QIcF3MRFJsq”]Eyewitnesses’ account say two men on a motorbike, drove past the men in the vehicle, ordered the men to stop and shot them at close range, killing all three instantly.
The motive of the killing is still unclear.
Meanwhile, the Divisional Police Commander for Dodowa, Chief Superintendant Kwesi Ofori has told Citi News his men are out there to track down the culprits.
“Messages were sent across to all police posts to look out for a black and yellow jungle type of motorbike. As I speak to you, the police have done the crime scene work, A lot of frantic effort is ongoing in our investigations and we are appealing to the public to provide us with the needed information, eyewitnesses are also being invited so that we patch up all these pieces of information that will enable us get the perpetrators of this heinous crime,” he said.
The bodies of all three have since been sent to the Police morgue awaiting pathological examinations.
