The current government of Ghana is both incompetent and inefficient and even if we divide Ghana into ten thousand regions, a decorated donkey will continue to be an ass (that is, nothing will change). What the nation need is to have strong regional structures in place whereby the regions and their various cities will all be empowered and with adequate resources to manage themselves efficiently. This is called DECENTRALIZATION. Therefore, decentralization, coupled with a strong, competent and efficient central government is the answer, not creating new regions to waste money on new incompetent regional ministers.
