The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Shai Osudoku, Emmanuel Odoi Anyemi Lartey has rejected accusations by the people of Sota claiming that he has been unfair to them and supported the Wedokum clan in Dodowa against them.
Following the assassination of the Sota chief Nene Teiko Opeteko III last week, his relatives pointed accusing fingers at the Wedokum Clan.
They also accused the DCE Emmanuel Odoi Anyemi Lartey for supporting and empowering the people of Wedokum to harass them.

Reacting to the allegations in a Citi News interview, the DCE strongly rejected all the allegations and insisted he has no interest whatsoever in the Sota land matters.
He said at the time of the incident on Sunday, he was indisposed and that accounted for his absence from the scene.
“It is unfortunate the people of Sota are leveling all manner of allegations against me. I have no interest whatsoever in the Sota land dispute. I have tried my best together with the Police to ensure there is peace in the area.”
He said last two years when there was a conflict in the area, he did all he can to ensure peace.
He urged the public to disregard the allegations and treat it with the contempt it deserves, adding that they are all calculated attempts to tarnish his hard earned reputation.
He noted that he has summoned a district security meeting to ensure they get to the bottom of the case to enable them bring the perpetrators to book.
The Dodowa District Police Commander DSP Kwasi Ofori on his part said his outfit has intensified patrols in the area since the incident occurred.
The Shai land dispute
The people of Sota are Ningos from the Ningo traditional area and they have their lands located at the Shai traditional area as per the demarcation done by the Jackson report.
This demarcation has been a bone of contention for several years as the people of Shai do not understand why the people of Ningo would claim ownership of lands within their jurisdiction.
As a result, both clans; Sota of Ningo and Wedokum of Shai have been at each other’s throat until a high court in Accra gave its ruling on January 28 giving the people of Sota an upper hand on the said land in contention.
