The incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth group calling itself the Gonjaland NDC Youth Caucus, has congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on the conferment of Honorary Degree of Doctor of Law (LLD) Honoris Causa on him by the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom.
A statement signed by the group’s Secretary, Issifu Seidu Kudus and copied Citifmonline.com said the conferment justified President Mahama’s unprecedented achievements within his first tenure of office.
“This conferment came at a time when the Ghanaian leader has carved an enviable image for himself and Ghana on the international stage where new thoughts on poverty reduction, climate change and global security have taken a centre stage and integral in every discussion and international political resolution.”

Issifu Seidu Kudus maintained that President Mahama was worthy of praise.
“This honor is not only conferred on you Mr. President but to Ghana as a sovereign state. Your appointment as a co-Chair to the SDG among 16 member advocacy group has equally reflected in this honour.”
He opined that President Mahama deserved another term to accomplish his unfinished agenda of transforming lives.
“We fully pledge our unflinching support to H. E Dr. John Dramani Mahama and the government of Ghana in times like this. Our culture and values as people are that which binds us when all other foreign partners frown on us so upholding them is non-negotiable.”
