Citi FM is encouraging patrons of its annual Easter Orphan Project which will be coming off on Easter Monday, March 28, to donate generously to the cause.
Some benevolent individuals have already supported this charitable cause with their donations but here’s how you can contribute via Airtel and MTN mobile money.
Airtel Mobile money steps
- Dial *500# and select make payment
- Type ‘CITIFM’ (Business name)
- Enter amount
- Enter your name as Reference Number (e.g. Paul Cofie)
- Confirm payment details with your Airtel Money pin
For registered MTN Mobile Money Subscribers
- On your phone menu, locate ‘MY MTN’ select “Mobile Money”
- Select Pay bill and then select General Payment
- Enter COPE under payment code
- Enter your Mobile Money Pin
- Press Ok to confirm payment to Citi Opportunity Project on Education
- Enter a suitable description under Reference
- Enter Amount e.g. 50 for 50 cedis
- Confirm payment again and enter your Mobile Money Pin
- You will receive SMS confirmation message for a successful payment
For MTN subscribers without the above features, you can:
- Dial *170#
- Input 2 for Pay Bill and send
- Input 6 for General Payment and send
- Under payment code, enter COPE
- Enter Amount due for payment and send
- Enter any suitable Reference
- Enter your Mobile Money Pin
- You will receive SMS conformation message for a successful payment.
Payments can also be made at any MTN service center nationwide
Citi FM is relying on its loyal listeners to continue to support the vocational training center for the Baptist School Complex (BASCO), an orphanage at Trotor, near Suhum in the Eastern Region.
The donations will also go towards the support of the Handivangelism Orphanage at Haatso in Accra, Mama Laadi Orphanage at Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.
Support for the Easter Orphan Project can come in the form of cash or items such as toiletries, bags of rice, canned food, drinks, biscuits, detergents, stationery, mattresses, school bags, books, computers and other non-perishable items.
Donations can be dropped off at the front desk of Citi FM, located behind the Adabraka Police Station.
All cheque donations should be addressed to The Citi FM Foundation, Merchant Bank – Accra main branch, with the account number 00001/01/012295/40.

The Easter Orphan Project is Citi FM’s annual social responsibility project, which raises funds and collects items from its cherished listeners, to support selected orphanages and under -developed communities in the country.
Over the past five years, Citi FM has also extended support to the Akuse and Kumasi Prisons among others.
