Ahead of Easter Monday on March 28, Citi FM is reminding and appealing to its charitable and loyal listeners, to complete the good work started at the Baptist School Complex (BASCO), an orphanage at Trotor a hamlet near Suhum in the Eastern Region.
In 2013, the station and its contributors built a vocational training center for BASCO, meant to equip the orphans with the necessary vocational skills to enable them fend for themselves once it’s time for them to reintegrate into society.
Citi FM now hopes to equip the training center with the requisite tools needed to facilitate proper training, and therefore requests donations from individuals and particularly corporate entities that have such tools in stock to make donations in that regard. Carpentry, hairdressing and items for training in electrical work will go a long way to help.
The station will also support the Handivangelism Orphanage at Haatso in Accra, Mama Laadi Orphanage at Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.
Individuals and organizations can also support the Easter Orphan Project by donating cash or items such as toiletries, bags of rice, canned food, drinks, biscuits, detergents, stationery, mattresses, school bags, books, computers and other non-perishable items.
Donations can be dropped off at the front desk of Citi FM, located behind the Adabraka Police Station.
