The Police have placed a GHc10,000 bounty on the heads of those behind the stabbing to death of the late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu.

The MP was killed by unknown assailants on Tuesday dawn at his residence at Shiashi in Accra, where he lived with his family.

They have also directed members of the public, especially operators of medical facilities, to be on the look-out for suspicious characters with fresh knife wounds, who may seek medical attention at their facilities.

The police are calling on anyone with any relevant information on the incident to report personally to the CID Headquarters in Accra or any Regional or District Police Headquarters, or call Police emergency number – MTN and Vodafone short-code 18555 or 191 on all networks.

Meanwhile, the Crime Scene Management Team and the Homicide Squad from the CID Headquarters have also conducted some preliminary investigations at the scene of the crime.

They have also taken over the investigations into the matter.

Six people have so far been arrested and charged, including a security guard, the MP’s driver and two women who also lived in the house.
