Scores of New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwarts on Tuesday morning thronged the house of the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, who was stabbed to death by unknown assailants.
Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu was murdered on Tuesday dawn at his residence at Shiashi in Accra.
The Police say they cannot immediately confirm whether the killing was carried out by robbers.
Some bigwigs of the NPP who rushed to the house after hearing the news, included acting Party Chairman, Freddie Blay, Gabby Otchere Darko, MP for Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu Ekuful, MP for New Juabeng North, Hackman Owusu-Agyeman among others.
Citi News’ Fred Djabanor, who visited the residence, reported that the Police have locked the house and have evacuated the MP’s family in order to proceed with investigations.
According to Fred, a man who could not hold back his tears claiming to be the late MP’s personal security guard, said he arrived at the premises on Tuesday morning only to be told of the sad incident.
