Members of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Water Resources Works and Housing on Tuesday visited the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality in the Eastern Region, to assess the water situation in the area.
The vist follows the acute water shortage that has hit the municipality for more than a month forcing residents to rely on contaminated sources for water.
The members visited the area to have first hand information about the situation.
The visit by the select committee follows an earlier visit to the Nsawam headworks by the Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing, Samuel Yaw Adusei.
