EPP Books services has as part of its corporate social responsibility donated a large quantity of a variety of academic books to the Nursing and Post-Graduate schools of the 37 Military hospital in Accra.
At a brief presentation ceremony held at the premises of the hospital, Faisal Ibrahim Cisse, Territorial Manager of EPP books, said the presentation follows a pledge made to the two insttitutions about a year ago when the Chief Executive Officer of the company visited the libraries of the institution and was touched by an appeal made to him by the authorities of the institution.
He noted that EPP considers 37 Military hospital to be one of the most valuable assets of the country as far as quality health service is concerned and believes that the donation will go a long way in improving the quality of teaching and learning in the hospital.
“This hospital is known world-wide to be one that delivers health service with empathy, patience and urgency. We are happy to be part of your success story as a contributor through this donation and are very hopely that these books would be put to the best use for the benefit of all students,” Cisse noted.
He hinted that the donation to the 37 military hospital was just the beginning of many other to come since EPP books is committed in playing its role in the academic development of Ghanaians in general.
“Soon, we shall be rolling out one of our biggest projects dubbed, ‘Stock your library’ project where a good number of educational institutions across the country will be having their libraries stocked with books from us free of charge,” he said.
The ceremony was graced by the Heads of both the Nursing and Post-Graduate schools of the hospital as well as alumni of the institution.
