Densu dries up; Nsawam residents exposed to cholera, others [Audio]

Residents of Nsawam and its surrounding areas stand the risk of contracting Cholera and other communicable diseases because of lack of access to potable drinking water.

The residents are being forced to drink from a contaminated tributary of the Densu River or use polluted water from other sources.

This follows the acute water shortage that has hit the area for more than a month.

Citi News’ Pearl Akanya Ofori has visited Nsawam and reports that academic activities in some schools there are also being disrupted as a result of the water shortage.
