Citi FM will once again extend a hand of love by touching lives with its annual Easter Orphan Project, which will take place on Easter Monday on March 28 of this year.

The Easter Orphan Project, is Citi FM’s annual social responsibility project, which raises funds and collects valuable items from its cherished listeners, to support selected orphanages and deprived communities and groups in the country.

Over the years, Citi FM has supported the Baptist School Complex (BASCO) an Orphanage in Trotor, in the Eastern Region, the Jehovah Raffa Orphanage in Suhum also in the Eastern Region, Handivangelism Orphanage at Haatso in Accra, and Mama Ladi Orphanage at Bolgatanga East Region.

The beneficiaries have in the past received cash donations, stationery, food items and more.

This year, Citi FM will continue the outreach initiative at the BASCO, the Mama Ladi orphanage and Handivangelism.

In 2013, the station through the support of its listeners and corporate Ghana, built a vocational training center for BASCO, and the centre is intended to cater for training in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, hairdressing, and masonry.

Citi FM hopes to equip this training center with the requisite tools needed to facilitate proper training of the orphans and therefore welcomes kind donations from corporate entities that manufacture tools for the above or have such tools in stock to make donations in that regard.

Individuals and organizations can also support the Easter Orphan Project by donating cash or items such as toiletries, bags of rice, canned food, drinks, biscuits, detergents, stationery, mattresses, school bags, books, computers and other non-perishable items.

Donations can be dropped off at the front desk of Citi FM, located behind the Adabraka Police Station.

All cheque donations should be addressed to The Citi FM Foundation, Merchant Bank – Accra main branch, with the account number 00001/01/012295/40.
