Thousands of public sector workers are expected to converge on the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, clad in red, wielding placards with various inscriptions to start a demonstration to show their displeasure to government.
They want government to reverse the recent increases in utility tariffs and petroleum prices.
They are also unhappy about the new taxes they say has brought undue pressure on them and their families.
The demonstration which comes of today will be followed by a nationwide strike on January 21 and 22.
The protest is to register Organised Labour’s displeasure about government’s refusal to reduce what they have described as astronomical increase in taxes that have heightened the prices of petroleum products and the cost of utility tariffs.
The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSSAG), has asked its members to participate in the nationwide protest.
