A former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) , Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has accused a suspended NPP member, Wereko Brobby of neglecting the party to work with the NDC.

According to Owusu Afriyie, also known as Sir John, Wereko Brobby is gleefully happy to be working with the NDC despite the fact that his own party [NPP] is divided.

[contextly_sidebar id=”3MKbLZ8W1vUkgSmOswl2LBFEwZjzmXjB”]He made these comments while responding to Brobby’s claims that he cannot entrust his future into the hands of the NPP due to the current internal bickering within the party.

Speaking on Eyewitness News on Tuesday, Brobby,  insisted the party has no business seeking to govern the country when it can’t resolve its internal troubles.

But Sir John in a sharp rebuttal to his claims told Citi News the founder of the defunct United Ghana Movement (UGM) claims are baseless since the NDC is equally a divided party.

“The likes of those people who are now saying that they cannot bet their lives on parties that are divided are gleefully happy to be working with the NDC inspite of the fact that their party is divided. I am talking about Wereko Brobby, when he says that he cannot bet his life on people who cannot work together.

“The NDC is divided, they won the elections and he is working for them. I hear he is an energy expert advising the President and analysis is anything to go by and then you cannot trust your life on a party that is divided, then he has no business trusting his life on the NDC.”
