The National Executive Council of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) are in a meeting ahead of their national delegates congress.
Citi News sources at the Upper West regional office of the party say the council will be resolved soon to pave way for the congress which is expected to commence later on Saturday.
[contextly_sidebar id=”lpXeWQl8nmDrQxlKoxE89KWOoQo4wq2z”]A total of 1,536 delegates are expected in Wa, the Upper West regional capital to elect a flagbearer and National Executives ahead of election 2016.
The delegates are currently arriving from the various regions but turn out is likely to be low.
Less than hundred people are at the jubilee park where the congress is to be held.
The leadership of the PNC has blamed the poor patronage of the congress on the court action filed by some members seeking to disqualify Benard Mornah from contesting the chairmanship position.
Hassan Ayariga, Edward Mahama, Benard Mornah and other leaders of the party are present at the congress.
