The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has declined to comment on issues relating to the suspension of the party’s parliamentary candidate elect for the Ningo Prampram constituency, Sam Dzata George.
[contextly_sidebar id=”sQSOzjUJzjTTm2rVKP6wyJlmoXyjvEQO”]Sam George was suspended together with the NDC Member of Parliament for the La Dade–Kotopon Constituency, Nii Amassah Namoale for misconduct.
Mr. Namoale has however apologized to the party for his action.
Media reports on Monday said the suspension on the two have been lifted but the NDC has been tight-lipped over the party’s position on the latest development.
The NDC’s Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho speaking to Citi News refused to comment.
He said currently they are jubilant mode because the President has selected his running mate in the person of Kwesi Amissah-Arthur and would not make any further comment on the matter.
“I’m a political communicator and on the occasion of a day our president has endorsed a running mate, I know too well this is not the time to talk about these things,” he said.
All other party executives Citi News reached to comment on the matter declined.
