Aston Villa and Ghana striker Jordan Ayew has described his goal against Newcastle United as one of the finest of his career.
The 23 year old secured a point for his team after he struck a long range effort from outside the penalty box in the second half to cancel Coloccini’s opener for the hosts.
[contextly_sidebar id=”Jj0JKHw8x4jtiBpCnagcZMg2dYjdRaQd”]Aston Villa remains at the bottom of the table with 7 points and are without a win in their last 16 games, a new record in the Premiership.
However Jordan has now scored 4 goals in his last 8 matches and admitted after he was named Man of the match that he had scored few better than that.
“I must admit that this is one of my best and that’s strange because the corner was not floated as usual and I wasn’t at the back post where I usually position myself but we secured a point and that’s what matters.
“We are not happy that we could not secure all points but one is better than nothing and we must build on this performance, “he told reporters after the match.
