The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Yendi constituency executives have exposed a conspiracy to link them to organizers of an intended demonstration in Accra on Thursday over the suspension of Paul Afoko as the national Chairman.
Citi News on Wednesday picked up signals that three buses load of people left Yendi for Accra to participate in the demonstration.
The NPP Yendi constituency Secretary, Fuseini Bawah Zakaria Kpana in a statement disassociated the leadership from the lobby group.

Fuseini Kpana cautioned party supporters in the constituency against discussing Paul Afoko’s suspension in the media.
“As part of efforts to maintain unity and cohesion in the party in the Yendi constituency, we wish to call on all members of our great party in the constituency to desist from engaging in the discussion of issues in the media/air concerning the decision of NEC/NC on the suspension of our former National Chairman, Mr. Paul Afoko.”
“We also urge our members to be circumspect in making public pronouncements, statements or comments on the same matter since that is likely to bring the name and image of the party into disrepute as stated in our party’s constitution; Article 3D (I) and (iv) which states that 3D (1): a member of the party shall protect and promote the good image of the party. 3D (iv): abide by and publicly uphold the decisions of the Party.”
He insisted that any party member found acting contrary to the party’s constitution will be sanctioned.
“It is in this light that we admonish our members to continue to do things that will promote the unity of the party in the Yendi constituency: we hereby warn that any member found to do or engaged in anything that has the tendency to bring the name of the party into disrepute will be accordingly sanctioned using the appropriate Constitutional structures of the Party.”
He stressed, “all constituency executives, area Coordinators and polling station executives are required to monitor and report appropriately: we also call on the regional and the national executives to also assist in monitoring both the print and electronic media to ensure that culprits are brought to book.”
Fuseini Kpana urged party loyalists to concentrate on building the party’s structures for victory in 2016.
“We hope our members will continue to remain united as we work very hard towards massive and total victory for our party and Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo and Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia come 2016.”
