The Deputy Northern Regional Women’s Organiser for the opposition New Patriotic Party,  Hajia Zulfao has been removed from office.

A statement signed by the Northern Regional Chairman of the party Daniel Bugri Naabu attributed her removal to incompetence.

[contextly_sidebar id=”GzkSsY9YFdhu8JtDrSaPBg65hs8jAcih”]”This serves as a notice to you that your appointment as a deputy regional women’s organiser has been revoked.

“The removal is on the grounds that you have lived below expectation as a Deputy Women’s organiser. This action is in consonance with the last paragraph of your letter of appointment which stipulates that, you shall be relieved of your post if you live below expectation,” the statement noted.

Her suspension comes days after four constituency chairmen of the party were ousted for allegedly organising some members of the party to protest against the suspension of former National Chairman, Paul Afoko.

The four were Akwasi Nti Asamoah,  Okai Kwanim, Isaac Brenya and  Joseph Dapaah from the Fomena, Ejisu, Asawaase  and Ahafo Ano South East constituencies respectively.

The Ashanti Regional secretary of the party, Sam Pyne, who confirmed the suspension of the four to Citi News said: “The issue was that they flouted Article 3(b)(iv) of the party’s constitution, where they did not uphold the decition of NEC that Afoko has been suspended, and that they organized to go on a demonstration against the decision of the party.”
