A private legal practitioner, Gary Nimako, has written a letter to the Electoral Commission to find out whether the name of Dr. Zanetor Rawlings, daughter of former president Jerry John Rawlings has been captured in Ghana’s voters register.
This follows rumuors that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate-elect in the Klottey Korle constituency could not vote in the party’s primaries because her name was not found in their register.

The lawyer is seeking to know the following:
“1. Whether or not Dr. Ezanator (Zanetor) Rawlings is a registered voter within the meaning of Article 94 (1)(a) of the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana.”
“2. If so when was her name entered into the electoral register?”
“3.Please furnish us with a certified true copy of the voter’s register.”
