A good public speech writer,speaker and
a critical thinker has an extraordinary quality of ability to have a
positive influential message content,where to speak,when to speak,how
to speak and what to speak, which receives applauds and acceptance by
majority of descerning and peace loving people.

Indeed, the public speaker must have a
voice the iginites passion by touching the hearts of the listners and
the target group….no hard voice or iiritating voice to sound
nuisance in the ears of people.

The President did well by advising his
followers not to go by personal attack campaign especially with the
health of others rather sell their message of competence to make the
society a better place to live in as a people.

That was not the first time the
President had called for a decent campaign; during the last national
election,he called for devoiding politics of insults and based on
issues which were applauded by all Ghanaians and at some point became
the order of the day…ISSUES BASED CAMPAIGN

The likes of Kwadwo Oppon-Nkrumah took
that trend in recent times and it helped him in wining the primaries
of his party.As Nana Ama Anamoah invented the phrase ‘THE VOTER HAS
BECOME SOPHISTICATED IN RECENT TIMES’- the politics of
oil,cutlass,rice,salt etc. are gradually becoimng a thing of the
past;a lot of discernment goes into the decision making of the voter.

Let’s applaud Mr. President for such
initiative but could the statesman have been consistent with his
initiative and keep the appluads of many going than to give a throw
back to people who are watching him from a distance? The Akan has a
proverb which says ”Nea w)re tu sa no nim s3 na kyi akyia”; he that
is creating a path has no idea about the crooked nature of his back.

The President wouldn’t know all about
himself and probably people around him wouldn’t be so much assertive
to tell him the downs of his administration just because everyone
wants to fill his or her belly hence keeping mute on the crooked
nature of the path being created.

After a hard days work in the trotro
towards home yesterday , the radio was on and the news was being
broadcasted,listening to it was the President’s speaking, telling
some critics not to get hold of his administration since they have
not even held such an office for a year before,it was intolerance of
a leader to be speaking that way and not just an ordinary leader, the
first gentleman of the Republic.

The timing was wrong,the speech was not
accurate and appropriate for the first gentleman of the state to
make,the worse was to have allowed the propaganda team carry out such
statements and not from him.

As my former school prefect posed a
logic ‘Does it mean you can’t caution the driver to drive well just
because you don’t drive and have no driving license even though he is
driving recklessly,falling into pot holes anyhow and almost crashing
the car down to kill the many passengers who have entrusted their
lifes and safety into his hands on the road after paying him?’

Mr. President please come again,THERE
ARE RUMORS AMONG GHANAIANS CLAIMING YOU ARE A GOOD PUBLIC SPEAKER.
