Why university of energy? KNUST and Polytechnics in Ghana are enough to produce the needed skills we need. This money we have invested in this university and the monthly cost of running it could have been use to resource the various department and build a centralise research centre for all these institutions to use. You don’t need four years to learn how solar or wind turbine works. And you certainly wouldn’t have the resources to make new solar cells as a graduate, these comes out off research collaboration. So after four years of training what will they do, open their own shop and sell panels, look for a solar company to work for or what? Besides you just started negotiations with partners and you are announcing something that is not conclusive. Solar installation can take between a day to 4months to learn depending on capacity and anyone can learn that. It just involves solar panel, controller(to charge your batteries), inverters(to convert DC to AC) and batteries(storage). Why are we wasting money and time over and over again with no common sense?
