Piles of rubbish have been scattered in some parts of Accra after the rains that hit the capital.
Some parts of Circle, Adabraka Odawna, Teshie, Kaneshie and a few other areas were inundated with flood waters during the two hour downpour.
Government, led by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly demolished hundreds of unauthorized structures believed to have contributed to the June 3 flood and fire disaster that resulted in the death of over 150 people.
The exercise was expected to reduce the flooding in the capital.
However, the story, was almost the same as what happened three months ago. The only difference was that there were no casualties recorded.
Citi News’ Eugenia Tenkorang visited Adabraka Odawna, where majority of the victims lived. She reports that victims of the disaster are still counting their losses several days after the floods.
