Bice Osei Kuffour, popularly known as Obour, has been re-elected as the president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).
[contextly_sidebar id=”91xi1h43U6TKQ5exfTHqYXAZGHTg1Ihs”]The incumbent president won with a whopping 88 votes, with Gyedu Blay Ambolley coming second with 22 votes while music producer Appietus had 18 votes.
This means that Obour will be president of the association for four more years.
The elections took place at the sixth quadrennial congress of the Musicians Union of Ghana in Koforidua.
The Obour-led MUSIGA administration has been heavily criticized but ahead of the elections, many industry players still hailed him for making the association more marketable.
This was Ambolley’s second time contesting against Obour while it was Appietus’ first.
