Labadi beach hotel gets new General Manager

Labadi Beach Hotel, one of the only two five star Hotels in Ghana has outdoored their new General Manager to steer it`s affairs.

Mr. Michael W. Rathgeb the accomplished general manager in the hotel business and has a proven track record in driving top line revenue and bottom-line performance.

Before joining the Labadi Beach Hotel, Mr Rathgeb worked as the General Manager for several Radisson Blue hotels which include Radisson Blue Hotel Anchorage (Lagos, Nigeria), Radisson Blue Hotel Waterfront, (Cape Town South Africa), Radisson Blue Hotel Bristol and Radisson SAS Hotel (Krakow, Poland).

He has also worked for the Hilton Hotel, the Sheraton Hotel and the Intercontinental Hotel respectively across 15 countries.

Mr. Rathgab is known to be a strong leader who focuses on building relevant relationships and achieving results by building winning and passionate teams with his staff.

He brings on board a diverse experience and rich knowledge in the hospitality industry.

During his outdooring ceremony, Mr. Rathgab stated that his focus will be to expand the facilities of the hotel and also build a close relationship with the major tourism stakeholders in the country.

For his part outgoing general Manager, Adrian Landry charged Ghanaians to take advantage of the Public Private Partnership ( PPP) initiative to expand the tourism sector.

Mr Landry joined Labadi Beach Hotel about nine years ago. Under his transformational leadership skills, Mr Landry oversaw the entire refurbishment of the hotel which led to it been upgraded to a 5 STAR status and currently positioned as one of the best Hotels in Ghana.

Mr. Landry takes pride in his ability to manage hotel properties within the African continent and transforming them into successful and prestigious entities.

Recent among his several achievement is been awarded with the 2014 Best General of West Africa by the African Travel Awards.

Mr. Landry will be moving to Zimbabwe to take up the management of a chain of hotels under the Legacy Group.
