If facebook is allowed to implement this in Africa, lots of jobs will be lost and there will be no company venturing into this market. Government will loose lots of tax revenues and this will worsen our economic condition. Regardless the pretends of Nobel gesture facebook is portraying, they get undue advantage and spell doom for our infant internet penetration age. Data from the Telcos show that, they make more money on data services than voice, which enables them to keep operating and maintain staff. Again government should come clear on its stands on this. If a satellite is beamed over west Africa, you can access it anywhere not only in the villages. We don’t want charity. I’m happy I don’t use facebook and will never do.
