Customers of DKM Diamond microfinance company in Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo went out of control this morning 23rd October, 2015 and attacked workers of the microfinance company for delaying in the payment of their locked up cash.

[contextly_sidebar id=”IOoe0qlqJpouUEle1tYUDrY8F0ZVMleP”]The Bank of Ghana (BoG) last month ordered DKM to release locked up monies belonging to the customers after it lifted a moratorium it had earlier placed on the company for violating the banking act.

But according to the customers, the company has failed to give them back their monies.

Our Brong Ahafo regional correspondent Kwadjo Brefo who has been monitoring this developing story reports that the customers besieged the premises of the company after they were invited by DKM to pick up their investments today.

But the customers were turned away leading to them attacking workers of the company.

According to him ‘the PRO of the company was beaten and rushed to the hospital while the company’s premises was vandalized by the customers’.

Meanwhile our Upper East regional correspondent Frederick Awuni reports the situation is no different in Bolgatanga.

According to him some customers of DKM Diamond microfinance in Bolgatanga besieged the transport terminal of DKM in Bolgatanaga to stop the operation of their buses  until their investments are paid them.

This is the second time customers’ of DKM Diamond micro finance have besieged the transport terminal of the company over unpaid investments.

Management of DKM Diamond micro finance issued a press statement that all customers’ will receive their investment with effect from today 23rd October 2015 due to some technical challenges they had to address between 7th -14th of this month.

But customers who visited the company for their investment today were turned down.

Meanwhile the Bank of Ghana says it is monitoring the situation and will take an appropriate decision soon.
