The inaugural tournament tipped off last Sunday with Tema Sharks defeating Korlebu Kings 30-24 in a cagey encounter at the Accra Polytechnic Basketball Court.

“The team that wins the title pockets $ 3,000 while the first and second runner-ups win $ 1,500 and $ 1,000 respectively. The MVP of the competition will also win $ 500,” Lewis Fadipe, the Founder of Game Time Entertainment said.

“In all, 10 teams will represent their communities to battle it out for the ultimate trophy. The tournament aims to fuse entertainment and sports and as such there will be performances by Ghanaian artists, mixes from top DJs as well as cheerleading at half time intervals,” he said

Mr Fadipe mentioned that the final tournament will be held on a special mobile basketball court, the first of its kind in Ghana at a special location yet to be announced.
