Black Stars deputy coach Maxwell Konadu has hailed the quality of talents in the Ghana league after AshGold won their first league title in 19 years.
Konadu led Kotoko to win the Ghanaian league in 2012 before taking up the post as deputy head Coach of Ghana’s national team.
Konadu was the Accra Sports Stadium to watch the match between Great Olympics and AshGold and he said to Citi Sports that he did not doubt that was enormous talent in the Ghanaian league.
“There are a lot of quality players in the league even from the game we have seen today. The only challenge is that most of them are not in one place but for quality we have them in the league. The issue of spectatorship is a problem of Africa not only Ghana but I guess it will improve as we go on.”
The former Wa All Stars and Asante Kotoko coach handled the Black Stars to secure qualification for the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea before the arrival of Avram Grant in November 2014.
