Arguably one of Ghana’s finest lyricists, Mr.Kwame Nsiah Apau better hailed as Okyeame Kwame (OK) has announced that in pursuit of the next phase of his career and other opportunities he has decided to end his brand ambassadorial relationship with telecommunications giant MTN with effect from September 18.

Together, Okyeame and MTN forged a give and take relationship that saw each other leveraging off the other’s platforms for mutually beneficial purposes.
Okyeame Kwame believes 5 years of icon association, though beneficial, is also restrictive in the areas sponsorships, performances and innovation. Hence, the need to move on.
While promoting the MTN brand he released 2 albums and 2 singles and also won 6 prestigious awards. Key among his achievements was his Hepatitis B advocacy across the nation, which has helped raise the awareness of the general populace and was co-supported by MTN Ghana foundation.
OK appreciates the support MTN provided during the past 5 years and wishes the company the very best in its mission to lead the Ghanaian telecommunications market.

He is filming a world class video with Phamous Philms to compliment the hit song whose message and relevance comes at a time when Ghanaians from all walks of life need to do a re-examination of their lifestyles based on the principles of hardwork, integrity and commitment to sustainable personal growth.
