The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will from Tuesday September 22, commence the vetting of all aspirants for the party’s parliamentary primaries on November 7.
As of close of nomination last Thursday, nearly 700 aspirants have submitted their forms.
NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, told Citi News early on, that contrary to the previous practice, the aspirants will now be vetted by a team led by the national officers at the regional level.
He said the trend in the past was that “we allowed the constituencies to do the first vetting, generate a shortlist which will then be taken to national.”

And then the national team that goes will join them and they will do the vetting.”
The General Secretary in a statement released on Thursday September 17, announced the schedule for the vetting which starts from September 22 to 30th.
