A member of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) and aspiring parliamentary candidate, Robert Amissah has vowed to snatch the Awutu Senya East seat from the NPP, if given the nod.
[contextly_sidebar id=”wevQeuVdicxyGgDRTC9b6NpQX3as4lyj”]The New Patriotic Party’s Mavis Hawa Koomsom currently occupies the Awutu Senya East seat in Parliament.
Robert Amissah said he has an enviable political track record and has been in touch with the NDC’s grass root and the entire constituent thus could better serve the people.
In an interview with Citi News, Mr. Amissah said he is well endowed to solve the numerous problems confronting the constituency especially land disputes of which the incumbent MP had woefully failed to tackle.
He explained that Hawa Koomson has also done little to curb social vices in the constituency though she promised to do so in her 2012 manifesto.
Mr. Amissah further charged NDC members in the Awutu Senya East constituency to give him the chance to lead them in the 2016 general elections.
The solicitor and entrepreneur believes that if finally elected as an MP he would use his academic prowess to create jobs for the youth in the constituency in order to curb hooliganism and other social vices.
Robert Amissah is contesting in the NDC’s November 7 primaries with four other aspirants.
