Charles Bentum, the Lawyer for the 14 magistrates battling their interdiction in court is challenging Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, Editor in Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, to name the lawyers who allegedly asked for portions of the video containing the alleged corrupt activities of some judges to be doctored.
[contextly_sidebar id=”1n1fVtlbFGWCmrHKZS9R1sStEKiYX3Iz”]Kweku Baako last Saturday revealed that some of the lawyers of the suspended judges have appealed to him and Anas Aremeyaw Anas to doctor the tape.
The veteran journalist, who failed to mention any name wondered why the former would sue them after allegedly impressing on them to make the changes.
Speaking to Citi News, Charles Bentum dismissed the claims by Kweku Baako and dared him to make the names public.
“It is not true, in fact none of us have done that and myself in particular, I’ve not done that. I heard him saying that but did not go further to mention the name of the lawyer. I thought that he ought to have mentioned the names if he wants to be taken serious on that allegation that he made.”
He said because Kweku Baako fell short of mentioning the name (s) of the lawyer, “it reduced the veracity of his claim” saying “I treated it with the contempt it deserved” because it “leaves it hanging.”
