Two of Ghana’s solution providers ‘Global Access and Vodafone,’ have teamed-up to organize a financial interaction fair for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The fair is aimed at educating SMEs in the region and also to equip them business development skills.
[contextly_sidebar id=”EKbFY7EWiO0vLQUIiQShQoDAcnqICQa6″]The three day interactive platform saw over 2,000 clients participating predominantly from Suame, Bantama, Manhyia, Kwadaso, and Tafo.
Speaking on the theme: Dreaming Ghana in the next 40-years and how it will affect SME’s, head of SME at Vodafone business solutions, Jerry John Quashie urged participants to be consumer satisfaction oriented.
Dr. Kwame Owusu Kwateng, a lecturer at the KNUST business school, reiterated the importance of SME’s growth with particular focus on the tremendous economic contribution of 80% of GDP.
He further tasked participant’s to inculcate the habit of good record keeping for tax purposes, the provision of reliable data and adoption of a succession plan for a sustainable business.
For his part, Justice Oteng, Head of sales, Global Access Savings and Loans, reiterated the importance of planning, saying its paramount to the growth of all businesses.
He said business opportunities are readily available only to those who are prepared to prove they can do better with sound expertise, advise and guidance from Global Access’s team of financial thinkers.
