Customers of DKM Microfinance Company in Bolgatanga in the Upper East region have vowed to picket at the company’s premises until their investments with the company are paid them.
[contextly_sidebar id=”5hgr50yJmamiyuktvH1ju0xBUhMBGpGf”]Some of the customers who spoke to Citi Business News said’ we have been here since dawn and they are refusing to give us our money they claim there is a problem with their machines but we will not leave here till our monies are given back to us, even if it means sleeping here for days’.
This comes after officials of DKM in Bolgatanga failed to pay monies owed customers yesterday.
The company attributed the delay in payment to a link failure.
Hundreds of DKM microfinance customers after meeting with management of DKM Microfinance were told to come for their investments yesterday after a moratorium placed on the microfinance company some months ago was lifted by Bank of Ghana.
According to the Bank of Ghana despite the lifting of the ban the microfinance company is still not permitted to start collecting deposits from its customers till further notice.
Meanwhile customers of embattled microfinance company, in some areas across the country have begun receiving their locked up monies from the company.
A journalist with Somaali Radio, Ibrahim Muniru who visited the Wa branch of DKM Diamond Microfinance in the Upper West region confirmed to Citi Business News the company had begun making payments.
