Vodafone Ghana has embarked on a US$1million network expansion project in the Western Region to deliver unrivaled network experience to its customers within the region.

The ‘Mobile Broadband Provider of the Year’ at this year’s Ghana Telecom Awards, is aiming to bring uninterrupted connectivity to the doorstep of Oil and Gas companies along the Takoradi-Agona enclave.

The move further cements Vodafone’s reputation as the best network in voice clarity and 3G internet speed in Ghana.

Commenting on the project, Haris Broumidis, Chief Executive of Vodafone Ghana said:

“We are committed to investing and upgrading our network to meet our clients’ high demand for data and voice service. Our strategy as a business has always been to deliver unmatched experiences for our customers. It is what differentiates us on the market’’.

Mr. Broumidis added that the network expansion has paved the way for the operator to better serve businesses and offices with fibre, dedicated internet and wifi while consumers enjoy superfast broadband in all parts of the Western Region.

Over the years, Vodafone has spent over US$700m on its network infrastructure to create a resilient system which delivers the fastest 3G internet speed both with downloads and uploads. The comprehensive investment in the Western region includes the laying of over 24km of fibre infrastructure from Takoradi through Apowa to Agona Nkwanta.

Since entering the telecoms sector in 2008, Vodafone has remained consistent in maintaining the highest standard of network quality for its customers. It has also been at the forefront of innovation and creativity in the industry.
