The Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), will on August 14 honour former President John Agyekum Kufour for his contributions towards the growth of the University.
[contextly_sidebar id=”A8UTl7rBqYdKMhLk38U6r885yv4nzNEj”]The third President of the fourth republic will be awarded an honorary doctorate degree at a special congregation at the Professor Anamuah Mensah hall at the university.
A statement released by the university said the event will also be used to honour Professor Michael Shattock of the United Kingdom and the immediate past chairman of the Council of UEW Mr Gibrine Adam.
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is in the Central Region of Ghana. Its main aim is to train teachers for the education system of Ghana.
The University of Education, Winneba is charged with the responsibility of teacher education and producing professional educators to spearhead a new national vision of education aimed at redirecting Ghana’s efforts along the path of rapid economic and social development.
