The Police in Brong Ahafo region have confirmed to Citi FM that three more houses on the outskirts of Tuobodom were set ablaze on Thursday night in what appears to be a reprisal attack to last Wednesday’s shooting incident.

The houses [mud houses] were set on fire between the hours of 10 pm and 11 pm.

[contextly_sidebar id=”uwzb4wtaP4emwBua2GexyT3MR38DZob6″]Techiman Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Twumasi Ankrah stated that his men could not rush to the town at the time the houses were torched.

“When the incident happened, we could not go to the place immediately because access to the place is difficult. We will go there today [Friday] to assess the extent of damage done,” he explained.

Mr. Emmanuel Twumasi Ankrah stated that no casualties have been recorded from the latest incident.

On Wednesday, five people were gunned down in Tuobodom and several others injured in what many residents say was as a result of  a prolonged chieftaincy dispute in the town.

Meanwhile the Techiman Police have arrested two persons; Stephen Amoako and Nana Kwadwo Tano for allegedly masterminding the shooting incident.

The two, have since been transferred to the Brong Ahafo Regional Police Command in Sunyani to assist with investigations.

The Police are still continuing with their search for more people believed to be linked to the deadly shooting incident.
