Johnson Asiedu Nketia said, “we beg to difer from this point as well.”

He explained that, “one of the forms of identification for registration under regulation 1 (3) of CI 72 is an existing voter identification card. In order words, if you delete the national health insurance card, the use of an existing voter identification card is still permissible by law.”

“So if you open the register today and then people approach the registration centre to register and they present an existing voter ID card derived from the 2012 registration, how are you going to determine that as for this card, it was procured through the use of NHIA card so I will drive that person away.”

I trust the power of technology to do facial recognition but i am not sure the conclusions drawn from the results can be valid since the opposite is also true that the names found could be legitimate Ghanaians who registered in Togo for what ever reason. Bawumia and his “Team of expects” should come again since this their conclusion defeats the intellectual understanding. In my opinion to make a conclusive judgement of the result of this analysis. One has to find out whether the names found is also in the citizens register of Togo and make a further analysis to find out if they are in the register of Ghanaians( assuming we had a comprehensive and correct database of Ghanaians). A logical conclusion can only be drawn if the names are registered as citizens of Togo and are not registered as citizens of Ghana. If they are found on both citizens registers. The conclusion could be that they are dual citizens, then the question that will arise is that are dual citizens permitted to vote in Ghana? As it stands now the NPP team of expects have done a childish ananlysis of the data they recieved and are trying to let some of us believe that they have done a “scientific job”. They should pls come again

and scheming for a new electoral register will not make Nana Addo Dankwa
Akufo-Addo winner of the 2016 general elections. It will be an exercise in
futility and a waste of tax payer’s resources.

The NPP is once again preparing the grounds for a pitiful
electoral battle by this opinionated demand for a total change of the existing voters
register.

The NPP must stop the
drama and say it loud. Panting around the point would only send the entire
country on a wild goose chase as usual. Remember those agonizing and unproductive
Supreme Courts days?

The introduction of the biometric voting system exposed the NPP
more than any other political party and as long as the biometric voting system
is used for elections in Ghana, the NPP will continue to wallow in political
opposition unless and until it totally overhauls its cruel
ethnocentrism, tainted and divisive political ideologies and work towards
attracting voters from other regions with new sets of all inclusive ideologies
and new presidential candidate.

Fact, the NPP is so treacherous
and abhorrent that it is falling short of saying that some registered voters
with Northern and Ewe names/backgrounds, who are true Ghanaians, should be
removed from the current voters register. That is the crux of NPP’s desperate chase
for a new voters register. All the ‘brofo’ and ‘jambology’ is about their
parochial partisan ethnocentrism.

Ghana’s electoral register may not be totally clean
but that is what Ghana has and it has worked perfectly well for our electoral
processes. The NPP should look elsewhere for its electoral humiliations and
stop tormenting the EC and its new chairperson for a new register.
